Real fish are icky. What about goldfish or swedish fish?
Goldfish crackers, swedish fish and other small and/or frangible items are a really really bad idea. They are hard to clean up both because of their size and tendancy to shatter.
Should you be unwilling to hide a real fish under your clothing, inflatable fish make a nice alternative.
